Investigation reveals details surrounding man's murder by friend
The Public Security Directorate's spokesperson announced that a joint investigative team comprising the Capital Criminal Investigation Division, Zahran Security Center, and Preventive Security successfully unraveled the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a man in his fifties, who had been missing for over a month.
Following extensive inquiries, it was determined that the man was murdered by a friend of his, who was subsequently arrested.
The spokesperson revealed that relatives of the missing individual reported his disappearance after an extended period without contact. A thorough investigation was launched by the joint team to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his absence.
Subsequent inquiries and information gathering led investigators to suspect the involvement of one of his friends in his demise. The suspect was detained and confessed to the murder, admitting to burning the victim's body following a dispute that transpired between them in an abandoned building in the Jabal Amman area over a month ago.
Upon locating the victim's remains at the site, they were transferred to forensic medicine for examination. Meanwhile, the suspect was remanded to the public prosecutor, who ordered his detention in a correctional facility on charges of premeditated murder.
