The spokesperson for the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), Daniel Hagari, reported that their troops have arrested 200 Palestinians following the siege imposed on the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza since early Monday.

Hagari further claimed to have found weapons and money inside the Shifa Hospital.

The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed his concerns earlier today over the incursion carried out by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) into Al-Shifa Medical Complex - the largest medical facility in the Gaza Strip.

“Hospitals should never be battlegrounds. We are terribly worried about the situation at Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza,” Ghebreyesus stated on his “X” account.

“The hospital has only recently restored minimal health services. Any hostilities or militarization of the facility jeopardize health services, access for ambulances, and delivery of life-saving supplies.”

The WHO Chief further called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need to protect hospitals in the besieged Strip.
