Israeli Occupation hinders Palestinians' entry for Friday prayers at Aqsa Mosque

Palestinian sources have reported stringent security measures imposed by Israeli Occupation Forces at the Qalandiya checkpoint, hindering Palestinians' entry for the first Friday prayer of Ramadan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Despite these restrictions, Palestinians from Ramallah and various West Bank cities traveled to Aqsa Mosque, with buses facilitating transportation.

Mosques in Al-Tur, Jerusalem, were closed during prayers, prompting calls to gather at Aqsa Mosque. Images circulated show crowds at Qalandiya, with some Palestinian women crossing for prayers.

Israeli Occupation's installation of iron barriers at Aqsa Mosque's doors has drawn Jordan's warning against continued restrictive measures, emphasizing the mosque's status as a place of Muslim worship.

Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that Israeli Occupation lacks sovereignty over East Jerusalem and cannot impede worshipers' access to Aqsa Mosque, stressing Jordan's jurisdiction over the mosque's administration.

These actions are condemned as violations of international law, urging the international community to intervene.
