Palestinian President Abbas accepts resignation of Chief Justice
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has approved the resignation of Counselor Issa Abu Sharar, who served as the head of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The acceptance of the resignation occurred during Abbas' meeting with Counselor Issa Abu Sharar at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah on Tuesday evening.
Abbas commended Counselor Abu Sharar for his significant contributions to the development of the Palestinian judiciary throughout his extensive tenure. He highlighted Abu Sharar's dedication to safeguarding the rights of citizens and ensuring their access to justice.
Earlier, Abbas had honored Counselor Issa Abu Sharar with the highest degree of the Star of Honor, acknowledging his distinguished national and professional achievements in the field of Palestinian justice.
