Jordanian aircraft not at fault for aid airdrop malfunction in Gaza, says source

In the nine airdrops conducted over Gaza today, Friday, a technical malfunction occurred, which resulted in some parachutes attached to the pallets carrying aid failing to open and freefalling to the ground - a source privy to the matter confirmed that the mishap did not originate from Jordanian aircraft.

The source stated that the four Jordanian aircraft that participated in the operation alongside five other countries executed the drop without any issues.

Furthermore, the source emphasized that Jordan continues its efforts to support our Palestinians in Gaza and deliver aid through all available means, whether by land or air.

Earlier Friday, the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army executed 9 airdrops in cooperation with partner countries on several locations in northern Gaza, as part of its humanitarian duty the ongoing efforts aimed at supporting the resilience of Palestinians and alleviating the repercussions of the “Israeli” war on the people of Gaza - an official statement by JAF said.

Four C130 aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF), along with aircraft from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the United States of America, the Republic of France, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the Kingdom of Belgium participated in the operation under royal directives.

This step comes within the continuous Jordanian efforts to send more medical, relief, and food aid to the people in Gaza with the aim of mitigating the effects of the war and compensating for the severe shortages in food and medicine due to the ongoing “Israeli” aggression on the region.
