A reliable military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army reported that in the Jordanian Eastern Command, working in coordination with military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Administration, successfully thwarted an attempt to infiltrate and smuggle significant amounts of narcotics from Syrian territory early Sunday morning.

The operation resulted in the death of five smugglers, with four others sustaining injuries. Additionally, a substantial quantity of drugs was confiscated and handed over to the appropriate authorities.
