“Israeli” Brigade Deputy commander killed in north Gaza battles

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced on Tuesday evening the death of the deputy commander of the 601st Brigade, of the Engineering Corps, in north Gaza battles.

The IOF said in a statement that Major David Shakouri, 30, from Rehovot, deputy commander of the 601st Battalion, 401st Brigade, Combat Engineering Corps, was killed in a battle in northern Gaza.

According to the death toll acknowledged by the IOF, it has risen to 563 since Oct. 7, 2023 with 226 killed since the ground operations on Oct. 27, 2023.
