Will it snow in Jordan this week? Arabia Weather answers

Jordan has been experiencing a series of air depressions since the middle of last week, leading to significant rainfall and a considerable drop in temperatures, according to the Chief Operating Officer at Arabia Weather Osama Al-Tarifi.

Al-Tarifi continued that showers of rain are expected to persist from Sunday night until Monday evening, with the precipitation concentrating in the northern and central regions of the country, anticipating the formation of dense fog.

He further stated that there are expected intermittent rain showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Jordan likely to be influenced by a state of atmospheric instability by the end of the week.

Al-Tarifi anticipated that cold air would deepen in the middle of the week, accompanied by a significant increase in coldness, with temperatures approaching freezing during the nighttime hours.

Regarding the chances of snowfall, Al-Tarifi affirmed that despite the presence of a very cold air mass affecting Jordan midweek, there are no indications of a snowstorm or widespread snowfall in the Kingdom until Wednesday.

He noted that there is a chance of snow showers over mountain peaks and high elevations early on Wednesday morning.
