Jordan's tax revenues rise to JD 7.69 billion in first 11 months of 2023

Tax revenues in Jordan for the first 11 months of 2023 amounted to JD 7,694.9 million, marking an increase of JD 374 million compared to the same period in 2022 - The rise is attributed to an increase in income and profit taxes, which saw an increase of JD 205.5 million.

Income and profit tax amounted to JD 1,678 million, achieving 108.6 percent of the projected amount in the General Budget Law for the year 2023.

The government's coverage of current expenditures reached 88.4 percent, with this increase attributed to a rise in tax revenues by approximately JD 206.5 million and an increase in non-tax revenues by around JD 167.5 million.

The total spending for the central government during the first eleven months of 2023, amounted to approximately JD 9,760.7 million compared to JD 9,388.4 million during the same period of 2022.

This increase is due to the rise in current expenditures by JD 590.7 million compared to the same period of 2023.
