Several areas in Amman, and its surrounding governorates are experiencing the formation of dense fog, leading to reduced visibility.

The Public Security Directorate has warned of the formation of fog and reduced horizontal visibility, especially in elevated areas. It also cautioned about dust stirring on some desert roads, urging people to stay away from valleys, streams, and not to risk crossing them with vehicles or on foot.

The latest satellite images show the flow of clouds and occasional rainfall in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, as a result of the impact of a low-pressure system, as reported by Arabia Weather.

During Thursday daytime hours, Jordan is expected to be further affected by a weather depression, leading to a drop in temperatures.

The weather will be cold with intermittent rain in the north, central regions, and parts of the south. Wind speed will increase, accompanied by strong gusts at times.

In this context, the The Jordan Meteorological Department has warned of the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas in the north and central regions, including the Dead Sea area.

There is also the danger of slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall, reduced visibility over mountainous areas and plains due to fog and low-lying clouds, and reduced visibility due to dust in desert regions.
