Sergeant Sharif Jihad Mohammad Al-Ayasra, a member of the Jordanian Special Field Hospital/2 was injured Monday while stationed in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, by an unknown source of gunshot, according to a statement from the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army spokesperson.

The injury occurred in the right thigh while carrying out his humanitarian duties at the hospital. It further mentioned that necessary medical treatment was administered to the injured sergeant, and a surgical procedure to remove the metal fragment, exploration of arteries and nerves were performed, with his overall condition reported as stable, the statement read.

The official spokesperson of the Arab Army affirmed that there was no material damage, and all personnel at the hospital are in good health. The medical teams operating in the Gaza Strip continue to provide medical services, fulfilling their humanitarian duty to the people and brethren in the region.
