In his meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, King Abdullah II warned against the dire consequences of ongoing aggression in Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis.

In the presence of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the King stressed the crucial role of the United States in advocating for an immediate Gaza ceasefire, safeguarding civilians, and ensuring sustained delivery of relief and medical aid.

King Abdullah reiterated the necessity of a just resolution to the Palestinian issue and a comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution for regional stability.

He strongly opposed the forced displacement of Palestinians, emphasizing Jordan's rejection of attempts to separate Gaza and the West Bank, asserting they are integral to one Palestinian state.

The King condemned acts of violence by settlers against Palestinians and violations of holy places in Jerusalem, underscoring the need for prompt intervention to prevent regional escalation.

The meeting also addressed the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, exploring avenues for further collaboration in various domains.

Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi and US Ambassador to Amman Yael Lambert were among those present at the meeting.
