Mass shooting at University leaves 15 killed in Prague

More than 15 people were killed and over 24 others injured on Thursday in a shooting at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

Czech Police Chief Martin Vondrášek stated that "more than 15 people were killed, and at least 24 were injured," adding that the shooter had been apprehended.

Interior Minister Vít Rakušan affirmed that there is "no indication that this crime is connected to global terrorism."

Czech media reported that the shooting occurred at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. Instructions were issued to teachers and students to lock the doors of the rooms they were in, while the police intervened.

The police closed off the area and urged people living nearby to stay in their homes.
