A video has gone viral in which two individuals kidnaped two girls in an elevator in Cairo, Egypt, sparking widespread reactions on social media.

The footage shows the kidnapping of the girls in the elevator despite the cameras capturing the kidnappers' faces clearly.

The assailants’ drugged the girls, but in a shocking turn of events, investigations revealed that the girls' father was behind the incident, as reported by "Al-Masry Al-Youm" newspaper citing an Egyptian security official.

The source added that family disputes were behind the father's kidnapping attempt. The father subsequently left for “an Arab country” with one of the girls, while the other remained with her mother.

The video shows two girls inside an elevator in a building when it stops, and two men enter and proceed to drug the girls who attempted to resist.

However, the two girls were unable to break free and fell unconscious. The suspects then carried the girls and took them out of the elevator.
