The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Sufyan al-Qudah, announced that the ministry, through the Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate, is working on evacuating 92 Jordanian citizens residing in and visiting Gaza.

These individuals are registered with the ministry and have been permitted by crossing authorities to leave through the Rafah Crossing to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The ministry aims to facilitate their evacuation to the Kingdom as quickly as possible, following royal directives to evacuate Jordanian citizens residing in the Strip.

Qudah explained in a statement that the Jordanian Embassy team in Cairo, currently present on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Crossing, is working to complete the evacuation process Thursday.

They are responsible for receiving and ensuring the evacuees have what they need in terms of assistance and medical care, as well as arranging for their prompt return to Jordan.

He stated that the number of Jordanians residing in Gaza, registered in the database since the beginning of the recent conflict, has reached 1,010 individuals as of Thursday, with 525 of them already evacuated.

Qudah reiterated Jordan's commitment to continue evacuating its citizens from the Gaza Strip, urging Jordanian citizens residing in Gaza to contact the Operations Directorate at the ministry for assistance.
