A medical source reported that five female students were the victims of the bus overturning accident on Salhoub Road in Balqa Wednesday morning.

The source added that two fatalities were transferred to the Forensic Medicine Center in Ain Al-Basha and three to the Forensic Medicine Center in Jerash.

The five students who lost their lives in the accident were studying at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).

The tragic incident, which also resulted in injuries to 35 individuals, prompted widespread sorrow on Jordanian social media platforms.

Under the hashtag "شُهداء_العِلم_والمعرفة," which translates to martyrs of knowledge and science, university students mourned the loss with heart-wrenching words.

Dr. Sadiq Al-Otoum, the director of Jerash Governmental Hospital, stated earlier that most of the victims in the bus accident were university students, with ages ranging from 18 to 25.
