Journalist Ola Atallah and several members of her family were martyred after an Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) airstrike of Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City.

Two months into the IOF’s aggression against the Gaza Strip, 75 journalists and media workers have been martyred, with around 80 others injured, and two journalists have been reported missing.

The IOF targeted the homes of 60 journalists, destroyed the headquarters of 63 media institutions and offices, disrupted the operations of 25 radio stations (24 in Gaza and one in the West Bank), closed and restricted the operations of three media outlets, and arrested 43 journalists, including 41 in the West Bank and two in Gaza. As of now, 30 of them remain under arrest, with the majority subjected to administrative detention.

With the martyrdom of Ola Atallah, the number of martyred journalists and media workers since October 7 rises to 76.
