'Israeli army' dropped 40,000 tons of explosives on the Stip: Gaza's media office

The head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Salama Marouf, stated that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) dropped 40,000 tons of explosives on the Strip.

Marouf added Sunday that the days of the temporary truce revealed the extent of the massive massacre committed by the Israeli Occupation, pointing out that the IOF caused significant destruction to infrastructure and homes.

In the context of the IOF's attempts to target media crews, he noted that the crimes occurred away from the cameras, adding that the IOF used bombs in their aggression on Gaza that had not been used before.

In the absence of international institutions from the Strip, according to him, he continued that "one-third of the population of the Strip did not receive basic necessities."

Due to the huge need for equipment to recover the bodies of martyrs from under the rubble, Marouf said that hundreds of martyrs were buried where they were martyred.

He confirmed that the Shifa Hospital in Gaza lacks all medical facilities and "has become unfit for use," indicating the urgent need to establish a field hospital that covers the large needs after most hospitals in the sector went out of service.
