Amal Movement, a Lebanese Shia political party and military group, has joined the skirmishes against the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) along the southern Lebanese border for the first time in over 35 days.

Amal Movement joins Hezbollah, Al-Qassam, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) as faction Number five currently undergoing periodic clashes on the southern Lebanese border.

Amal, led by Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, announced the death of one member, in addition to two wounded, after Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) "directly targeted our positions," according to an official statement by Amal.
