Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, took a decisive step Wednesday in response to the ongoing Israeli Occupation war on Gaza.

Safadi ordered the immediate return of Jordan's ambassador to Israeli Occupation, expressing Jordan's strong condemnation of the violence taking place in Gaza. This military campaign has led to the loss of innocent lives, triggered an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, and raised the specter of further regional instability and insecurity.

In addition to recalling the Jordanian ambassador, Safadi instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to notify the Israeli Occupation Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the return of its ambassador to Jordan is contingent upon Israeli Occupation ceasing its military operations in Gaza. The dire humanitarian situation and the restrictions on essential resources faced by the Palestinian population are also of great concern.

Jordan remains committed to actively working toward ending the hostilities in Gaza, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, ensuring the safety of civilians, and mitigating the far-reaching consequences of the aggression.

The ultimate goal is to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region, based on the two-state solution. This solution envisions the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the borders of June 4, 1967. Such a resolution is seen as essential for the security and well-being of all the people and nations in the region.
