Israeli Occupation Minister of Defense Benny Gantz and former Prime Minister Yair Lapid criticized current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements regarding Operation Aqsa Typhoon, considering it a failure of intelligence.

Gantz expressed his support for the security forces and called on Netanyahu to refrain from undermining their efforts.

Lapid accused Netanyahu of trying to shift blame onto the security apparatus, weakening it amid the war.

Netanyahu stated that he did not receive any warnings about Hamas's intention to 'ignite a war' against Tel Aviv.

He held the intelligence agencies responsible for failing to anticipate the unexpected and unprecedented attack by the Qassam Brigades on Oct. 7.

Netanyahu specifically pointed to the Israeli Occupation Military Intelligence Directorate and its head Aharon Haliva, as well as the head of the 'Shin Bet,' 'Ronen Bar,' for their failure to predict the attack.

Netanyahu held his first press conference since the start of Operation Aqsa Typhoon, joined by ministers in the emergency government formed after the outbreak of the war.
