Photojournalist Mohamed H. Masri confirmed that fellow journalist Motaz Azaiza, known for his continuous coverage from Gaza since the start of the aggression on Oct. 7, is alive and in good health. 

Masri shared an image on his Instagram story with the following caption: "Our friend Motaz Azaiza is fine and well, but he does not have access to the Internet, or any means of communication. In fact, communication is missing in all parts of Gaza Strip."

This came after the Israeli Occupation cut off Internet and all means of communications completely leaving Gaza in a 15-hour communication blackout.

The 2.4 million residents of Gaza were left isolated in the midst of an ongoing siege and aggression.

This blackout has deprived both residents and the world of vital information regarding the incessant bombings, the extent of destruction, and the mounting casualties.

As a result, there is no clarity on the number of martyrs, wounded individuals, or those trapped beneath the rubble.

The situation not only hampers the immediate medical response but also increases the likelihood of more casualties.

In addition to the physical assaults on Gaza, which covers an area of 365 square kilometers, the communication blackout poses severe challenges for medical teams and ambulance services. Hindered communications may disrupt the coordination of relief efforts, potentially leading to a higher death toll.
