King attends funeral of former Prime Minister Marouf Al-Bakhit
His Majesty King Abdullah II attended Sunday the funeral of the former Prime Minister Marouf Al-Bakhit.
The funeral was held at the Mahes cemetery.
Bakhit held office twice. Born on March 18, 1947, in Mahes, Bakhit first served as Prime Minister from Nov. 27, 2005, to Nov. 25, 2007, and later from Feb. 9, 2011, to Oct. 17, 2011.
Bakhit joined the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) in 1964.

During his service, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Jordan.
He continued his studies, obtaining a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. from King's College.
Bakhit held (16) various ranks of honors.
