A video circulating on social media has captured an incident described by activists as a "violent attack" on a woman by a group of men and boys in the Jabal Amman area in the capital.

The footage depicts several individuals gathered in a residential neighborhood, attempting to intervene and prevent the assault on the woman, who appeared to be in a distressed state according to the activists.

In response, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) released a statement through its spokesperson, confirming that the incident took place on Kherfan Street in the Jabal Amman area.

A security source revealed that the altercation stemmed from a dispute between neighbors, assuring that no severe injuries were reported. The involved parties have been identified, and statements were taken regarding the incident, which has now been resolved.

The instigator confirmed that the main attacker involved in the beating has been arrested and is currently held in custody at the security center.

The source noted that the woman featured in the video opted not to file a complaint or visit the security center at this time. She will be summoned, and if necessary, the case will be referred to the judiciary.
