In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the southern military region successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by seven Sri Lankan nationals.

A reliable military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) - the Arab Army provided this information.

In a statement, the source noted that the Border Guard forces adhered to established rules of engagement, effectively detaining the seven individuals and subsequently handing them over to the appropriate authorities.

The source stressed that the JAF will continue to apply full force to foil all infiltration or smuggling attempts to protect Jordan and its citizens.
