Temperature surged to 38 degrees Celsius at 9 AM Sunday at the Amman Civil Airport, also known as Marka International Airport, according to Arabia Weather.

This marked a substantial 11-degree Celsius variation from the previous reading at 8 AM.

The rapid increase can be attributed to the abrupt onset of scorching continental easterly winds.
