A member of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Asaad Al-Qawasmi reassured parents that the prices of school essentials such as uniforms, bags and shoes remain stable and unchanged.

He told Roya Saturday that prices are affordable noting that school uniform cost between JD 6 and 10, while backpacks are between JD 4 and 10.

Qawasmi explained that the prices vary based on age group and quality.

He pointed out that education is prioritized by Jordanian families, ranking right after health, food, and medicine.

He emphasized the importance of the back-to-school season for both merchants and the people of Jordan; he noted that shops stocked up on school supplies approximately 15 days ago.

Qawasmi mentioned that the back-to-school season pumps around JD 35 to 40 million into the local market, stressing the sector's significance within the Jordanian economy.
