Since the beginning of 2023 and until the end of July, the Tunisian security forces successfully rescued 15,327 irregular migrants.

The majority, accounting for 95 percent of the immigrants, held African nationalities from sub-Saharan countries.

The security forces have been closely coordinating with relevant international organizations, ensuring a humanitarian response and conducting fieldwork to address the situation.
