Renowned Turkish chef Burak Özdemir, known as CZN Burak, has taken legal action against his father, accusing him of fraud.

The chef discovered that his father had sold the rights to use his name to a foreign businessman without his knowledge. Through widely-circulated video clips, Burak revealed that the businessman opened a restaurant unrelated to his well-known chain, exploiting his name without consent.

The case is scheduled for a hearing in September, and Burak strongly warned against those who dishonestly used his name and image. He emphasized his commitment to continuing his culinary career independently.

Presently, he only owns one restaurant in an Istanbul shopping center bearing his name.

According to Turkish newspapers, Chef Burak faced financial challenges and had to sell his luxury car to gather funds for opening a restaurant in Istanbul.

The conflict between Burak and his father originated in February when the chef provided aid to earthquake victims, which his father disapproved of, leading to a rift in their relationship.
