Farah Medical Complex ownership transferred to Emirati investors
The owners of Farah Medical Complex sold it to an Emirati company after the inability to pay off accumulated debt following the expansion and property development.
This comes four years after the passing of its founder Dr. Zaid Al-Kilani, who is considered one of the pillars of the medical sector in Jordan.
Images of the contract, documenting the sale of the complex and paying off its debt, were shared on social media platforms.
The contract was signed by the current owners who inherited the complex from Dr. Zaid Al-Kilani and Strategia Al-Assaf Capital Investment in the United Arab Emirates.
According to preliminary information, the Emirati company has acquired all the shares of Farah Medical Complex as part of a comprehensive deal to pay the money owed to banks and settle labor rights.
Notably, details of the sale could not be immediately confirmed by the parties involved in the transaction.
The new owners of the complex were quoted pledging to "carry the torch of the medical legacy."
Kilani established the hospital back in 1994, which became a regional leader in IVF treatments. In 2010, the hospital embarked on an ambitious expansion worth USD 200 million to become a "comprehensive medical complex" with world-class standards, according to founder estimates.
The hospital remained ahead of 122 private hospitals in Jordan, until Kilani's passing.
