A woman (35) was killed by her husband (33) inside their home in Zarqa after getting into an argument Friday.

The man strangled his wife and then stabbed her six times with a kitchen knife in the neck, which led to her death.

This happened two days before her scheduled court date to divorce her husband.

Investigations by the Public Prosecutor of the High Criminal Court, Judge Imad Al-Ghuwairi, charged the man with premeditated murder and decided to detain him for 15 days, subject to renewal, pending investigations.

A source close to the investigation said the couple had two children, the eldest is seven years old and the youngest is two years old. 

The mother of two was murdered while one of her children was sleeping in his room and the other was at his grandfather’s house.

Notably, the woman's body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department at the Zarqa Hospital and was autopsied. 

The autopsy report confirmed that there were bruises on her neck from when he strangled her and six stab wounds.
