Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs strongly condemned the intrusion of Itamar Ben Gvir, the Minister of National Security in the Israeli Occupation government, into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry emphasized that such actions by the extreme right-wing politicians in the Israeli Occupation government are an assault on a sacred Muslim site, with no legitimate rights for anyone else.

The ministry called the entry of Ben Gvir a despicable crime and an attack on Islamic holy places and places of worship. It called upon international institutions to take immediate and decisive action to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is currently facing intense aggression from the Israeli Occupation authorities.

Furthermore, the ministry urged all Palestinians to prioritize their visits and connections to Al-Aqsa, mobilizing efforts to defend it against the ongoing fierce assault by the Israeli Occupation and its extremist settlers.
