Palestinian-Chilean singer, Elyanna, made history after being the first artist to perform a full set in Arabic at the Coachella festival. 

Elyanna performed three days ago at the iconic festival and is set to hit the stage once again on April 22.

"I’m so grateful to sing my language and bring my culture my music," Elyanna said in an Instagram post.

In an interview with Arab News, Elyanna said: "We are introducing a new culture," adding, "We are making sure that everybody hears us, everywhere from all around the world."

In January, the singer announced that she will be performing at Coachella. She took the news to social media saying: "I have a dream and it’s coming to life."

She also posted a picture of the official lineup on Instagram with the caption, “I’m so proud and excited to bring my culture and music to coachella! Yalalalala.”

The Coachella festival kicked off Friday, April 16, and will end on Sunday, April 23.

Notably, Coachella is a music festival held every year in Indio, California. The festival runs over two weekends containing three days each.
