The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said Saturday that it is following up on the conditions of Jordanians in Khartoum, Sudan.
The ministry said in a statement that the Jordanian embassy in Khartoum is following up on any inquiry from Jordanians residing in Sudan, around the clock.
The Ministry calls on Jordanian citizens residing and visiting Sudan, and in light of the events taking place in the country, to take the utmost care and caution.
The Foreign Ministry called on Jordanians to contact the embassy in Ankara and Damascus at any time by calling (00249901699416) or (00249915491874), or through the Operations Center Unit in the Ministry on the number 00962795497777, or e-mail ([email protected]).

Earlier Saturday, explosions and gunfire were heard in the Capital of Sudan, Khartoum, according to AFP.
Witnesses said that “confrontations” broke out and explosions and gunfire were heard near a base where the Rapid Support Forces are stationed in southern Khartoum.
Gunfire was also heard near Khartoum airport and in the north of the Sudanese capital.
