Friday, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced the rescue of three people from drowning in the Dead Sea.

The media spokesperson for the PSD said that three were rescued after the currents in the Dead Sea pulled them to deeper areas, specifically 700 meters from the beach.

He added that the civil defense divers responded to the report from the Dead Sea Martyrs Center, and were able to reach the people with a water rescue boat and were able to get them out in a timely manner, in coordination with the Royal Navy Forces.

He added that the necessary first aid was provided to the injured, who suffered from fatigue due to swimming. Their conditions were described as good and they did not require transfer to the hospital.

The PSD called on citizens to take the highest levels of caution while swimming in the Dead Sea, and not to venture into depths far from the shore to avoid drowning.
