Firefighters extinguished a fire Saturday evening that broke out in a junkyard in Aqaba.

According to Roya's correspondent, firefighters from the Aqaba Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) rushed to the location as soon as the fire was reported.

They successfully put out the fire and prevented it from spreading further.

No significant harm or damage was reported.

Notably, the area where the fire broke out is currently being emptied out and rehabilitated by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).

The location is far from residential areas and vital facilities.

Investigations are underway.
