Thursday, the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization has dispatched the first relief convoy travelling by land to Syria to help those who were affected by the deadly earthquake that struck Monday.

Notably, a Royal Jordanian Air Force cargo plane carrying humanitarian aid took off for Aleppo International Airport earlier Thursday.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sinan Al-Majali said earlier that, following royal directives, Jordan continues to send aid to assist in relief efforts following the deadly earthquake.

The Kingdom had also sent a plane carrying humanitarian aid to Damascus International Airport and another to Adana International Airport Wednesday.
