Sunday, the media spokesperson for the Ministry of Education Ahmed Al-Masaafa announced the ministry's procedures regarding school hours during the upcoming unstable weather conditions.

Masaafa told Roya that the directors of education were authorized to determine the schools' working hours, in coordination with the administrative rulers, while prioritizing students' health and safety.

Jordan is expected to be affected by an air depression, classified as a fourth degree, as announced by Arabia Weather.
This means the Kingdom will witness heavy rainfall and snow in mountainous areas.

Snow is expected to fall over mountainous areas that are higher than 1,200 meters above sea level Monday and Tuesday, according to the executive director of Arabia Weather Mohammad Al-Shaker.

Shaker told Roya Sunday that snow is expected at the peaks of the Jerash and Ajloun mountains, noting that it will temporarily extend to areas below 1,200 meters.

He added that snow will accumulate in the areas of Ras Munif, Thaghret Asfour, Al-Qaeeda triangle, and the peaks of the Suf region and the high surrounding areas.

Several other areas will witness some showers of snow for a short period of time Tuesday morning.

The Central Traffic Department of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) called on school bus drivers to check their vehicles ahead of time and drive with extra caution.

The Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) advised citizens and residents to check their heaters and use them responsibly, stressing the need to turn them off before going to sleep and only use them in well-ventilated rooms.
