During the past period, a video went viral on social media platforms in Jordan, in which a woman can be heard crying and asking for help as she was getting abused by her husband.

The Family Protection Department followed up on the incident and managed to identify the location where the video was taken and the woman who was being abused, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said Tuesday.

According to the PSD spokesperson, the woman did not file a complaint and is still living with her husband under one roof, but they are currently visiting another Arab country.

Investigations will resume once they return to Jordan.
