The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that an officer and a non-commissioned officer were wounded by gunshots while they were dealing with vandals who staged riots and protests in Ma’an.

The Directorate confirmed that they were taken to the hospital and are now undergoing treatment, while the security forces are still continuing their work in dealing with outlaws in various regions of the country and will not allow vandals to undermine the security and stability of the homeland.

The PSD warned everyone to stay away from the criminal and subversive acts that some incite, stressing that whoever commits such acts will be arrested to receive a deterrent punishment.

It also called on everyone not to publish any information except those issued by the PSD itself, as the Directorate detected some fabricated and inaccurate news that only aim to stir up sedition in the country.
