Chilean President arrives at presidential palace on bicycle

The youngest-ever head of state in Chile, Gabriel Boric, caught the attention of the media and passers-by when he arrived at the presidential palace on a bicycle in an effort to set an example for tackling climate change.

When Boric took office in March 2022, he pledged to take a strong stand on climate change and reduce emissions as quickly as possible.

Additionally, when he became president, the Palestinian community in the country sent him a congratulation letter as he always took a positive position on the Palestinian cause.

Notably, Boric was born in February 1986, making him the youngest person to ever become President of Chile.
