In his nightly address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made no direct mention of the explosion that rocked the bridge linking Crimea to mainland Russia, however, he joked that "unfortunately, it was cloudy in Crimea."

“Today was a good and mostly sunny day on the territory of our state, about 20 degrees and sunny. Unfortunately, it was cloudy in Crimea. Although it was also warm. But no matter what the clouds are, Ukrainians know what to do. And they know that our future is sunny. This is a future without occupiers. Throughout our territory, in particular in Crimea,” Zelensky said.

“We are holding positions in Donbas, in particular in the Bakhmut direction, where now it is very, very difficult. The fighting is very tough,” he added.
