Wednesday, the Minister of State for Media Affairs and government spokesperson, Faisal Al-Shboul, said that hundreds of civil defense personnel are still continuing rescue operations after the collapse of a building in Al-Weibdeh.

Shboul added that there is unconfirmed information that says there might still be at least 10 people under the rubble, some of whom are still alive.

He also pointed out that the task has been made difficult for the civil defense personnel due to the rugged and uneven nature of the site, the buildings in Al-Weibdeh being adjacent to each other and the narrow lanes.

Shboul indicated that everyone should sympathize with the families of the victims and those missing under the rubble.
