The family of the female doctor who ended her life at the Jordan University Hospital issued a statement explaining the details of what happened.

The family of the doctor, later identified as Mirona Asfour, demanded to stop circulating rumors about the causes of their daughter's death.

The source told Roya that the female doctor was a resident in her first year, who had earlier announced her intention to commit suicide on social media.

The source indicated that the doctor jumped from the window of the ninth floor.

Earlier Thursday, authorities announced that the body of a female doctor was found inside the Jordan University Hospital.

The competent security services opened an investigation into the incident.
