Monday, a total of 499 traffic accidents occurred in the past 24 hours, they resulted in two deaths, two critical injuries and 18 minor injuries, according to captain Muaffaq Al-Khatba, from the Traffic Department's Operations Room.

He added that a two-vehicle collision occurred on Sunday at 5:30 pm in the Central Badia, resulting in the death of one person and the injury of another. The accident took place due to a sudden change of lane.

Additionally, a pedestrian accident occurred in Mafraq at 10:15 pm, which resulted in the death of a four year old girl who was crossing the street. Khatba added that the accident was because the driver failed to take the necessary safety precautions.
