Analyst: Jordan is not walking away from international and regional alliances

Writer and political analyst Dr. Munther Al-Hawarat said on Friday that His Majesty's talk about a "Middle Eastern NATO" comes within the framework of a new military-political alliance that protects small and medium powers from Iranian overreach.

He added that Egypt, Jordan and some Arab and regional countries are suffering as a result of the food crisis that came as a result of the Ukrainian-Russian crisis, and are constantly looking for appropriate solutions to reduce these crises, indicating that Jordan is a poor country that does not walk far from alliances. International and regional, and the Kingdom does not want to stray outside the flock due to the deepening economic and political crises that negatively affect the region. 

He explained that the Jordanian political scene read the Saudi need to appear as a leader prior to US President Joe Biden's visit to the region, and was in harmony with the intransigence of the US administration in controlling the region.
