The Acting Minister of Health, Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya, decided Wednesday, and based on the recommendations of the National Epidemics Committee, to cancel the request for a PCR test for those coming to Jordan.

The decision, however, stressed the continuation to provide COVID-19 vaccines to all targeted age groups.

The decision also included a circular to all hospitals and health centers in the Kingdom that it is not mandatory to request a PCR test for the purposes of entering hospitals or health centers. However, in emergency cases or those suspected of being infected with the virus, a rapid test can be carried out.
