80 percent of accidents occur during fasting: Traffic Department

Tuesday, the Central Traffic Department declared that 80 percent of traffic accidents which result in serious injuries and caused by speeding are recorded before people break their fast.

According to the daily traffic report, 92 percent of car accidents, especially on highways, are due to lack of focus leading to losing control of the vehicle.

The report added that fatigue is one of the main causes of accidents, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
