Around 600,000 flee to Russia from Donbass, other Ukrainian cities

Monday, around 600,000 people have fled to Russia from Donbass and other Ukrainian cities and villages, RT quoted international media outlets.

The outlets added that “as of April 4 morning, around 598,000 people arrived in Russia, 118,500 of whom are children. Additionally, around 500,00 of them crossed the border from Donbass in the Rostov region and the rest from the Ukrainian side through border checkpoints in Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk and the Republic of Crimea.”

The authorities pointed out that among those who arrived in Russia, there are approximately 174,000 Russian citizens (who hold the Russian citizenship), 340,000 are from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, and over 83,000 people are citizens of Ukraine and other countries.

Around 28,000 evacuees are currently in temporary shelters in 38 regions of Prussia, reported RT.

Over the past 24 hours, 526 people, including 90 children, from Mariupol (in Donbass) were evacuated to Bezimeno in Donetsk. Since March 5, 11,958 people have been evacuated to Bizimeno.
