Jordan confirms 17 deaths and 1,731 coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded 17 deaths and 1,731 new coronavirus cases in one week (from March 26 until April 1), bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,694,216, according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The death toll has risen to 14,048.

The cases are:

-975 in Amman

-191 in Irbid

-137 in Zarqa

-102 in Balqa

-79 in Karak

-54 in Mafraq

-49 in Madaba

-36 in Aqaba

-28 in Jerash

-21 in Ajloun

-17 in Ramtha

-17 in Tafilah

-13 in Petra

-12 in Ma'an

A total 137 cases have been admitted to the hospitals in one week, and 167 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 124 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 1,227 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 45,764 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 3.78 percent.
